CMMI® BOOT CAMP
19-23 September 2016, London
UNICOM is organising the first ever UK CMMI® Boot Camp.This five-day event takes place in west London between 19 and 23 September and will incorporate delivery of two official CMMI® Institute Training Courses:
These two training courses will be augmented by the practical experience and lessons learnt by our two experienced trainers, who have helped major organisations across many different business sectors make a step change in their maturity and capability.
The prices for attending all or part of the CMMI® Boot Camp are:
- Full CMMI® Boot Camp (5 days) - £999+VAT if booked by 19 August (thereafter £1250+VAT)
- Introduction to CMMI®Training Course (3 days) - £850+VAT if booked by 19 August (thereafter £975+VAT)
- CMMI® Appraisal Team Training (2 days)* only is £500+VAT if booked by 19 August (thereafter £975+VAT)
* Please note that attendance at a CMMI Introduction Course is a pre-requisite for attending the CMMI Appraisal Team Training course. The Introduction to CMMI course is on days 1-3 and CMMI Appraisal Team Training takes place on days 4+5.
1. The Introduction to CMMI for Development (DEV v1.3)
This three-day course provides a basic understanding of the CMMI® for Development V1.3.The focus is on the content of the model it provides you with a true understanding of the model. Our experienced trainers will augment the official training course materials with practical 'real life' examples. By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand exactly what it means to be a specific Maturity Level
- Discuss each of the 22 process areas in the model
- Describe the components of the CMMI® and how they work together
- Know where to find information in the model
2. The Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI)
Version 1.3: Class A Team Training.
This two-day workshop is directed at individuals and teams who are planning a SCAMPI (Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement).The course covers the essentials of working effectively on an appraisal team. In addition to team building exercises, it includes an overview of the SCAMPI process, terminology, SCAMPI Class A overview, and identifies the Appraisal roles, responsibilities and activities.By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand steps of the Class A appraisal process.
- Understand underlying principles of the Class A appraisal process
- Operate as an effective Appraisal Team Member
THE TRAINERS
Stephen Woods is a Certified CMMI Lead Appraiser who has been working with CMMI and CMM for over twenty years. He has conducted CMMI Appraisals and Training globally and in the last 12 months has operated in the UK, USA, China and Portugal.He has helped major financial, transport, telecommunication and insurance organisations achieve their performance improvement objectives and attain CMMI maturity and capability levels. Stephen has also worked with other models such as P3M3 and TMMi, he is a Certified TMMi Practitioner
Roger Gamage is a Certified CMMI Instructor and owner of a CMMI Institute Partner company, who has been working with CMMI for over 12 years. He has trained well over 500 people in CMMI in the UK and Europe, and has been Unicom's CMMI training partner since 2006. Roger has over thirty five years experience of managing and implementing the development of software and hardware products, and software intensive systems, and has held senior project and departmental management roles with several major companies. Roger has also been a PRINCE2 practitioner, and is currently a registered TickITplus Capability practitioner and member of the TickITplus steering committee with responsibility for training and examination.
